An event to benefit the Douglas T. Akers Memorial Scholarship
An evening to laugh, cry and raise money for a good cause. Join emcee Vinnie Montez as we raise money to fully endow the Douglas T. Akers Memorial Scholarship. Each ticket includes two drink tickets, a pack of bingo cards and a raffle ticket. Extras of each can be purchased separately.
Not one of your traditional fundraisers, but ALL of your traditional fundraisers! We will BINGO some purses, RAFFLE some firearms and AUCTION off some fabulous police officers, all to benefit the Douglas T. Akers Memorial Scholarship fund. Ofc. Akers died from job-related mental illness on December 31, 2018. Since a hero remembered never truly dies, we have chosen to endow his scholarship to ensure his memory is never forgotten.
